These patriotic alphabet tracing worksheets are a simple way to add handwriting practice to your U.S.A. themed homeschool lessons. Each tracing strip includes uppercase and lowercase letter practice with cheerful red, white, and blue pictures.

Use these alphabet tracing strips during the weeks around Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day, Presidents’ Day, Election Day, or any time you are working through a patriotic or American symbols theme with your young learners.

Patriotic Alphabet Tracing Worksheets​

These patriotic alphabet tracing worksheets will be just right for your Preschool or Kindergarten learner. The red, white, and blue theme is a bit of fun on every tracing strip!

You can use these worksheets in a page protector, as a one-time writing practice, or cut them into strips to practice one letter at the time. See below for more ideas!

What’s Included in the Patriotic Alphabet Tracing Worksheets​

This 4th of July themed alphabet tracing worksheet set features each of the 26 letters of the alphabet, from A to Z. Both uppercase and lowercase tracing is included in the download.

Each alphabet set also includes a few extra practice lines for you to have your child write their name or a patriotic word of your choosing. Simple words that I would choose for my children are words such as: flag, July 4, U.S.A., or red.

You will find the following included in this printable packet:

• Several blank letter strips to write in your own words to practice

How to Use These Patriotic Alphabet Tracing Strips​

If you are using these pages as one-time use writing practice, simply print the whole set or only the letters you want to practice on regular copy paper.

Here are a few more ideas to use these alphabet tracing strips:

Print and place in a page protector and provide dry erase markers for repeated use. This is a perfect activity to place in your child’s Daily Calendar Notebook and change out each week for variety.

Laminate each page and cut apart the strips. Place them on a ring to keep them together, which also makes them portable. Place a selection of these in your child’s daily workbox, or place them in your classroom learning centers. Trace with dry erase markers.

If you choose to laminate and cut into strips, choose just one strip. Match it with the same letter set from the ABC Puzzle Cards. Do you see other items in the room that begin or end with the same letter sound? Brainstorm together!
